FACILITY
There are hundreds of Rural and Remote Hospitals throughout Australia. Some are know as MPS, Multi Purpose Services or Health Services. This means they have Aged Care /Acute/Emergency Department all under one roof. So you will be working across ALL of these areas. Depending on the size of the town and the location will depend on weather they are a dedicated Hospital with separate Aged Care or an MPS.
nurses accommodation
When working at one of the selected towns in Rural and Remote areas accommodation will be provided. Depending on the location and the facility, on the most part it will be shared accommodation. i.e. a single room, however shared bathroom/lounge/kitchen, etc. Sometimes there is single (i.e. all on your own) accommodation depending on the location and what the facility has on offer.
TOWNS
There are thousands of small towns scattered throughout Australia and the locals rely on these facilities for their health needs. The locals are friendly and sometimes there isn’t a lot to offer i.e. shops. Mostly there is only a small IGA “if that” and the nearest supermarket can be in the next town. So do your research before you go.
